Malcolm Keswell is an associate professor in the school of Economics at the University of Cape Town. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (2003).
He teaches undergraduate Game Theory, advanced undergraduate Econometrics, and postgraduate Econometrics and Behavioural Economics.
He recently completed the Land Restitution Impact Evaluation Study (LRES), which evaluated the impacts of land restitution awards made in South Africa for the decade (2013-2022).
His current research is on the economic analysis of risk, and the application of machine learning to administrative data for the purposes of conducting impact evaluations.
